Runaway Bay is a town in Saint Ann Parish on Jamaica’s north coast. It’s known for its coral reef and for beaches like Cardiff Hall Beach and Fisherman’s Beach, with clear water. Green Grotto Caves is a subterranean cave network with stalactites and stalagmites, leading down to a watery grotto. In the mountains south of town, Nine Mile is the birthplace and childhood home of reggae legend Bob Marley.
Runaway Bay is certainly one of the most scenic areas in Jamaica, Since the early 1960s, when the old Cardiff Hall Estate was converted to a combination of luxury hotels, golf courses, and private villas, the town has developed its own character and persona as an elegant yet lively getaway.
